The Virginia Tech Southwest Center is housed in the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC). Virginia Tech is a full partner with the SVHEC.

The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center supports the agency's mission of regional economic development. Hosting over 1300 events each year, the SVHEC offers 89,000 square feet of meeting space facilities, cutting-edge technology, and outstanding staff support.
